Concert featuring THE RICHEY COMMUNITY CHORUS
November 17, 2019
Composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II together were the most influential and successful American musical writing team of the 20th century. Their popular Broadway shows in the 1940’s and 1950’s ushered in the “golden age” of musical theatre. Most of their shows have frequent revivals around the world in both professional and amateur theatres. The many honors garnered include 34 Tony Awards, 15 Academy Awards, the Pulitzer Prize and 2 Grammy Awards.
The Richey Community Chorus, our own talented group of select singers, will be featured in selections from The Sound of Music, The King and I, Cinderella and Carousel.
The Orchestra will play music from South Pacific, Oklahoma and State Fair.
Show time is 3:00 p.m.
Tickets are $18 for open seating at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge. Don’t miss it!
