MAESTRO DAVID THOMAS
David Thomas launched his career as an instrumental music teacher in Flemington, NJ, in 1995. After retiring in 2020 and relocating to Florida, he resumed teaching at Hudson Academy for three years. In January 2025, he retired again to focus on his music publishing career, with nearly 100 publications, including three bestselling series of books for small ensembles, distributed globally.
Since 1983, Dave has performed professionally in the Philadelphia and Atlantic City regions with groups like The Princeton Symphonic Brass Ensemble, The Philadelphia German Brass Band, The Alphorns of Hunterdon, The Norbert Ludwig Orchestra, The Walter Jay Orchestra, The Marie Landis Orchestra, and various brass quartets, big bands, blues, and Salsa ensembles. He has shared the stage with notable figures such as Joan Rivers, Bobby Vinton, Bill Watrous, Don Rickles, Johnny Mathis, and The Four Tops. In 2020, he joined the trombone section of the Richey Community Orchestra. Dave is also proficient on French horn, trumpet, and several other instruments.
